The Why.
"Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care"
Theodore Roosevelt
Stone & Sky Adventures grew from two things we genuinely love: the Canadian Rockies and making people feel looked after.
We’ve travelled on larger group tours ourselves, so we know what it feels like to finally arrive somewhere you’ve dreamed of seeing — and immediately start watching the clock.
We wanted to create a different kind of day.
Smaller groups. More time. Less rushing.
Time to walk around, take photos, ask questions, sit beside a lake, or simply stand there and take it all in.
We’re not trying to show you the most places in the shortest amount of time. We want you to actually enjoy the places you came all this way to see.
Meet Dave & Tetiana
Stone & Sky Adventures is a small, family-run Alberta tour company created by husband-and-wife team Tetiana and Dave.

Dave Guest
Founder & Operations
Dave keeps everything moving — quite literally.
He's got a Class 1 commercial license with extensive professional driving experience, Dave takes care of the driving, the vehicle, the logistics and many of the details that keep each day running smoothly.
His background also includes service in the Canadian Armed Forces.
He also brings plenty of humour to the bus.
We didn’t originally list “bad jokes” as a tour inclusion, but our guests keep mentioning Dave’s humour in their reviews, so apparently it’s staying.

Tetiana Shapovalova
Founder and Certified Guide
Tetiana is the heart of our tours.
She has a genuine love for the Canadian Rockies and spends much of her free time hiking, exploring, learning their history and discovering the stories behind the places we visit.
She loves sharing the Rockies with people — through stories about the mountains, glaciers, wildlife, history, local communities, as well as local legends, mysteries and ghost stories connected to the places we visit.
Her goal is simple: to help you understand what you’re looking at, notice things you might otherwise miss, and then give you the time to experience the place for yourself.
"You don't just see the Rockies, You feel them."
What Our Tours Feel Like
You aren’t seat 17B.
You’re spending the day with us.
That means we pay attention to the little things.
If someone needs another washroom stop, we stop.
If the weather changes, we have umbrellas and blankets.
If there’s an unexpected viewpoint worth seeing and the day allows it, we may pull over.
There are snacks and drinks, local stories, recommendations on where to walk, and enough time to actually enjoy your surroundings.
Because the little things aren’t little when they change how the whole day feels.
More Than Just Getting There
Our goal isn’t simply to transport you to a famous lake and bring you back again.
We want the entire day to be part of the experience.
Years from now, you may not remember every fact we told you about a glacier.
But you may remember seeing Moraine Lake for the first time.
The colour of Lake Louise.
Spotting wildlife beside the road.
Laughing on the bus.
The people you spent the day with.
And how the Rockies made you feel.
Those are the memories we want to help create.
We’re not trying to become the biggest tour company in the Rockies.
We want to be the one you’re really glad you chose.
Welcome to Stone & Sky Adventures.
