Banff Wildlife Guide: Animals You Might See in Banff National Park

Meet the team responsible for running Banff National Park.

Banff National Park is home to some of Canada's most iconic wildlife. From elk and bighorn sheep to black bears, grizzly bears, coyotes, wolves, and moose, wildlife sightings are one of the highlights of visiting the Canadian Rockies. While no wildlife sighting is ever guaranteed, visitors regularly encounter animals throughout Banff National Park, especially during early morning and evening hours.

Meet The Team

While Gary Goat, Eli Elk, Mandy Moose, and Bruce Eagle don't technically work for us, we do know where they're most likely to be hanging out.

Join one of our small-group Banff wildlife tours and let our local guides help you spot the real celebrities of Banff National Park.

No guarantees. They're wildlife, not employees.
