Banff National Park is home to some of Canada's most iconic wildlife. From elk and bighorn sheep to black bears, grizzly bears, coyotes, wolves, and moose, wildlife sightings are one of the highlights of visiting the Canadian Rockies. While no wildlife sighting is ever guaranteed, visitors regularly encounter animals throughout Banff National Park, especially during early morning and evening hours.

Eli the Elk - Director of Traffic Delays

If you've ever wondered what would happen if a horse joined a gym and developed an attitude problem, meet the elk.

Eli specializes in standing directly beside highways while tourists stop in dangerous places to take blurry cellphone photos. Skills:

Coyote Charlie - Night Shift Security

Part dog, part wolf, part mystery. They always look like they're late for a meeting but aren't entirely sure where it is.

Charlie ensures nobody gets too comfortable while camping.

Mandy's role is teaching tourists the meaning of "recommended distance."

Gary's job is to identify dangerous situations and immediately stand in the middle of them.
